Can you guarantee every image will fit?+
The tool checks the actual encoded file size. In automatic mode it can reduce both quality and dimensions to meet your limit. If fixed dimensions or lossless PNG prevent a fit, the result is marked over limit rather than passed.
What does exact-size mean?+
Your file will be at or below the selected maximum when marked Ready. It will not necessarily be exactly 100 KB. We use 1 KB = 1,024 bytes, and show the actual output size.
Is transparency preserved?+
PNG and WebP preserve transparency. JPG cannot, so transparent areas use the selected background color. No AI background removal is performed.
Are metadata and originals preserved?+
Images are decoded and re-encoded as pixels; original EXIF metadata is not intentionally copied. Your original local file is unchanged. Animated and vector formats are not supported.
